The AHS Tennis Team had very good results at the regional tennis meets over the weekend.

The AHS Tennis Team finished the season with a home meet against Hiawatha and Washington.
The entire team played several singles and doubles matches. AHS team was once again too powerful for there opponents, the Redmen suffered only one loss for the day.  The Washington team only had two players so they played several singles matches. It was a good day for all players. This is just a listing of the singles matches played.

Hare Competes at State

The 4A Girls State Tournament saw all sorts of weather last week, from rain, wind and storms to sunny warm days. Nikki Hare(19-10) played in all the different weather conditions for the tournament. She open tourney play with a win over Chapman's Shelbi Mathis(18-13) 6-2, 6-4. Nikki played a well managed match sticking to her game plan of moving her opponent and a strong cross court game.

THE SIX-TEAM LAFAYETTE INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT USED A 10 GAME PRO-SET NO ADD AND PLAYED IN A ROUND ROBIN FORMAT. THE LADY RED, WAS LEAD BY THEIR SINGLES PLAYERS TAKING THE 2ND AND 3RD PLACE METALS. THE #2 DOUBLES TEAM BROUGHT HOME THE 4TH PLACE MEATL. THERE WERE SEVERAL LONG MATCHES AND ONE TIE-BREAK CONTEST. THE TOURNAMENT WAS AN ALL DAY COMPETITION AND THE REDMEN TENNIS TEAM FOUGHT LONG AND HARD FOR THEIR VICTORIES.
