Aurora Police Chief at BC Monday

At 12:39 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012, Aurora, Colorado Police Chief Daniel J. Oates and his department began receiving 9-1-1 calls regarding a mass shooting at a movie theater. Police responded quickly and Chief Oates’ officers had the suspect in custody within five minutes.  In the end, the alleged shooter had killed 12 people and wounded 58 others.  The story made national headlines. 

BC Team to SIFE Competition

 Benedictine College's Students in Free Enterprise team has accepted an invitation to participate in a Business Ethics competition at Kansas State University, Feb. 7 - 9. The team, one of six, is hoping to bring home the first place prize of $2,000 and the trophy.

BC Presidential Scholars

Benedictine College hosted 290 students from 29 states for the Presidential Scholarship competition. Participants had an average ACT score of 29.8 and GPA of 3.87. Ten Presidential Scholarships good for 100% tuition and five Dean's Scholarships good for 75% of tuition will be awarded.

In celebration of 150 years in Atchison, the Benedictine Sisters present "Atchison, 1863: Sisters, Citizens and Civil War," a panel presentation by local historians Sister Judith Sutera, OSB, Patricia Boldridge, OSB, and Father Marion Charboneau, OSB. The presentation will be in the O'Malley-McAllister Auditorium at Benedictine College on Tuesday, February 5, at 7:00 p.m.

BC to FOCUS Conference

This winter’s FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) conference brought 6,200 college students to Orlando, Fla., including 250 Benedictine College students who traveled in five buses for the 55-hour round trip.

BC March For Life
