All Atchison K-12 schools are closed today, Monday, February 13. Highland Technical Center is having classes. This is the first snow day of the 2011-12 school year.

Personnel Changes at Trinity Lutheran

Vicar Jared Korb arrived on June 12 just in time for the concert of the New Generation Singers. He began work on the 13th. Since then he has made several home calls, been working on his first sermon, gone out with the Kennedy Callers, attended classes and meetings, and taken two of our youth to a Youth Leadership Retreat.

On June 26, our Voters called Miss Karen Eigenmann to be the 7th and 8th Grade teacher at Trinity School. Miss Eigenmann is from LaPorte, Indiana and graduated from Concordia University, Chicago.

If you are interested in sending your child to Trinity next year, please contact the school office. We would be ahppy to assit you and answer any questions you have.

Preschool:

PS3: $650 per school year ($65 per month for 10 months) The 3-year-old preschool students meet for three hours a day on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are morning (8:15 - 11:15 AM) and afternoon (12:30 - 3:30 PM) classes available.

First Heavy Snow Closes Schools

All schools in the area have been closed for the day due to the snow. The Atchison Library is also closed. Highland Community College also canceled classes. This is the first weather cancelation this year. The retreat to be held had Maur Hill/Mount Academy today has been postponed to tomorrow.
