Little Raven Basketball Clinic

Benedictine College men's and women's basketball teams are having the 12th annual Little Ravens Basketball Clinic for 1st - 6th grade girls and boys on Sunday, Oct. 21. The coaching staff and the players will be instructing the Little Ravens. Camp fee is $35, which includes t-shirt, season pass to all home basketball games and more. For more information contact Chad Folsom at 913-360-7380.

Memorial Mass Friday

Legendary Raven George F. Tardiff, "Coach", class of 1959, passed away Friday September 21 in Brick, N.J. He was 75. The Memorial Mass will be on Friday Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. in the Abbey Church. In 1974, George became the head football coach and Physical Education instructor at Benedictine College.

ACES Rancherito Night

The community is invited to Rancherito Night at Atchison Catholic Elementary School on Wednesday, September 26, in the school's Commons.   A crispy shell with meat, cheese, and all the desired toppings will be served, along with cinnamon chips, ice cream, and beverage.  Serving from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m., the cost per meal is $5.00.  All proceeds will benefit the school's athletic and technology programs.  Carryout orders will be available.

THE SIX-TEAM LAFAYETTE INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT USED A 10 GAME PRO-SET NO ADD AND PLAYED IN A ROUND ROBIN FORMAT. THE LADY RED, WAS LEAD BY THEIR SINGLES PLAYERS TAKING THE 2ND AND 3RD PLACE METALS. THE #2 DOUBLES TEAM BROUGHT HOME THE 4TH PLACE MEATL. THERE WERE SEVERAL LONG MATCHES AND ONE TIE-BREAK CONTEST. THE TOURNAMENT WAS AN ALL DAY COMPETITION AND THE REDMEN TENNIS TEAM FOUGHT LONG AND HARD FOR THEIR VICTORIES.
