We had great time with the record crowd at the 42nd Annual Scholarship Ball. We recognized the Nearmyers and the Careys, surprised Dr. Krusemark, honored the Mount and the new Abbot, and raised over $500,000 for scholarships.

BC SIFE Takes 3rd

Our Business Ethics team competed Feb. 9, at the Kansas State University SIFE Business Ethics Competition sponsored by Phillips 66. Students Frank Cummings, Jack White, Robert Williams, and Michael Moran, finished in third place, garnering $1,000 and a plaque.

We had a good turnout (about 25 people). Architects David Dunfield and Hans Fischer had a short presentation to show some of their current and past library projects, which seemed to engage everyone. 

Aurora Police Chief at BC Monday

At 12:39 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012, Aurora, Colorado Police Chief Daniel J. Oates and his department began receiving 9-1-1 calls regarding a mass shooting at a movie theater. Police responded quickly and Chief Oates’ officers had the suspect in custody within five minutes.  In the end, the alleged shooter had killed 12 people and wounded 58 others.  The story made national headlines. 

BC Team to SIFE Competition

 Benedictine College's Students in Free Enterprise team has accepted an invitation to participate in a Business Ethics competition at Kansas State University, Feb. 7 - 9. The team, one of six, is hoping to bring home the first place prize of $2,000 and the trophy.
