Happy Hearts annual fundraising event is set for Friday, April 13th. Teams of up to 8 players will compete to see who knows the most about the least. Teams arrive early to decorate their table to support their team. Entry fee is $100 per team. This year's event will be held in commons at Atchison High School. A concession stand is available for participants and cheerleaders alike. The tournament starts at 7 PM and will run to 10. To register call 913-360-6192.

The Joe Lienemann family celebrated son Scott's graduation from K State Sundary, Dec. 18th. Family and friends gathered at their home one year after celebrating Mark's graduation from KU.

Celebration of Remembrance Service

On Nov. 13, the Becker-Dyer-Stanton and O'Trimble Funeral Homes will hold their 12th annual Celebration of Remembrance. The compassionate service is to assist families who have experience a death in the past year. Service will be held at the funeral home, 800 Kansas Ave. at 2 PM.

Maturing: Through Loss, Grief and Mourning

As part of our dedication to complete family service, the Becker-Dyer-Stanton and O'Trimble Funeral Homes continue to offer this four week session on grief and recover. Caplain Jack E. and Marilyn Albright coordinate the program designed to help cope with the loss of a loved one. The program will be held at the funeral home, 800 Kansas Ave., Atchison. Session will run from 7 to 9 PM on Thursdays from October 20 through November 10. For more information call 913-367-6543.
