2nd Fishing Clinic Saturday

Starting at 8 AM, May 12, kids from ages 6 through 12 are invited to gather at the State Fishing Lake to cast a line. This is the second year that the Kanza District Boy Scouts and the Atchison YMCA have teamed up to sponsor this event along with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP). 

The first year fun.Upon arrival participants will registar and then go through a series of stations to learn the basic of identifying, catching, cleaning and cooking fish. Then it is off to catch fish. Poles are provided by KDWP. 

Around noon the hot dogs will be ready for anyone that is hungry and the event will wrap-up at 1 PM. The clinic is open to everyone.
