AMS 6th Grade News

Congratulations to the 6th grade students for meeting their goals in both reading and math.  As a reward, students will be visiting PowerPlay on May 12th.  To finish out the year, the math students will be working on problem solving skills and graphing.  In SIP students will be finishing a unit about economics and personal finance, as well as finishing up the All Stars program.  The social studies classes are studying The Roman Empire. Science classes will be learning about force and   building  rockets for ODIE (outdoor education) Day, on May 20 at Warnock Lake. The reading and language arts classes are starting literature circles, focusing on a common theme of "personal struggles." They will also be focusing on the writing process and the 6-traits with narrative writing projects
