Beverly Ann Fitkin ,74 of Atchison, KS, passed away June 8, 2012 at Medicalodge of Atchison. 

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral home with Rev. Lee Hendon officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 pm Monday, June 11th, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to American Heart/American Stroke Association or the Ronald McDonald House and may be left in care of the funeral home. Beverly was born May 4, 1938 in Atchison KS, the daughter of James and Alice (Martin) Barker. She graduated from Atchison High School in1956. Beverly worked as a Cutter Supervisor at Atchison Leather Products & Berger Co. for many years. She was a member of the First Christian Church and enjoyed walking, traveling, and especially her grandchildren. 

She was married to Dale Fitkin on May 27, 1958. They were later divorced. Survivors include three sons; Kenneth P. (Sharon) Fitkin, Rushville, MO., Danny F.(Lavern) Fitkin, and Randy L.(Kelly) Fitkin, of Atchison, KS., two daughters; Susan (Glen) Schmidt, Atchison, KS., and Dale Lynn “Sissy” and Dan Wolfe, Kansas City, MO., nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Her parents, two brother’s; Howard & Frances Barker, and a sister; Betty Figgens preceded her in death.
