Charles M. Landwehr, 54, of Effingham, KS died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 at his home in Effingham, KS.
Memorial services will be 10:00 am Saturday, Oct. 6th, 2012 at the Becker Dyer Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison with Rev. Jeff Cochran officiating. The body has been cremated and burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date in Colorado. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday, Oct. 5th, 2012 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison. Charles M. Landwehr was born on May 29, 1958 in Grover, CO., the son of Charles J. and Bette (Kracht) Landwehr. Charles worked as the former Public Works director for the City of Atchison for seven years, and was presently Vice President & Construction Manager for BRB Contractors, Topeka, KS. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed trap shooting, fishing, camping, and family barbeques.
He was married to Carla Beck on Aug. 12, 1988. Mrs. Landwehr survives of the home, additional survivors include, three sons; Jacob (Julie) Landwehr, Ft. Bragg, NC, Joseph Landwehr, of the home, and Wayland Landwehr, of CO., two daughters; Jessica Buckner, Los Angeles, CA., and Jillian Landwehr, Greeley, CO., his mother Bette Landwehr, Greeley, CO., and three brothers, Bill (Jerry) Landwehr, Greeley, CO., Kevin (Mary Lee) Landwehr, and Kim Landwehr, both of Grover, CO. and five sisters, Mary (Allen) Burson, Grover, CO., Kerry (Mike) Brawner, NE., and Christina and Rose Landwehr, both of Greeley, CO., numerous nieces and nephews. His father preceded him in death.
